Thought I'd show everyone a little of what us hard working admins have been doing in preparation for Big Day In. Here are some photos of network setup in progess, and an evening of testing all our power equipment. That might look like a lot of switches, but thats less than half of the switches we'll be using for BDI!

Speaking of switches and hubs. Are those 10/100 Mbit or just 100? What I mean to ask is - will I be able to use my old 10 Mbit NIC?

All ports available to players will be 10/100 so yes you can use your old 10mbit NIC. (Assuming of course its UTP, there will be no BNC ports)

We (3xtreme LAN) have a video of us stringing out 20 powerboards and another 20 extension leads all daisy chained and doing laps of my house with 'em a few days before 3xtreme 2 last september
how fun.
